The MX-2A is a portable, lightweight, versatile thermal imaging camera ideal for general reconnaissance, surveillance and routine patrol in the field. It can be utilized as a handheld, tripod mounted or weapon sight device to meet the specific needs of the mission. The rugged, exterior rubber boot gives the MX-2A a subdued, non-reflective exterior finish while protecting both the lens and imaging body. The MX-2A is equipped with a removable eyepiece for remote and covert viewing over or around obstacles or hazards. The MX-2A is powered by four 123 batteries or four AA batteries and uses the same thermal detector and objective lens as the US Army LTWS.
